Our professional and recommended staff are all McGimpsey Academy trained because we have listened to our customers and we know exactly how to assess and meet your needs.

The McGimpsey 6-step process

1. Assessing

Once we receive your initial enquiry, your personal move consultant will phone you to discuss your move and where appropriate, arrange a survey. Our trained surveyor will meet you to discuss packing and insurance options as well as digitally cataloguing all goods to be shipped both inside and outside the home.

2. Booking

We prepare a quotation usually based on a door to door service including the relevant information specific for your move. If you are happy, you complete the online acceptance, pay as indicated on your quote and confirm the dates and timings of your move.

3. Planning

Once we receive your booking, we will send you a formal confirmation. We would then follow up with a checklist of all documentation required for your move where applicable depending on your move destination. The final payment and customs documentation, where applicable, are required prior to the move date.

4. Preparing

We help you prepare for your move. On arrival, the crew leader will conduct a walk round of your home with you whilst the crew prepare the property with carpet protectors and bannister covers. The crew leader will direct the crew throughout the move and where the move takes place over more than one day, the crew leader will ensure everything you need overnight is left available for you.

5. Moving

When your consignment is despatched, you will receive a formal shipping confirmation with the details of your shipment and details for the destination agent handling customs clearance (where applicable). We will liaise with the destination agent to provide the relevant documentation required.

6. Delivering

Once your goods arrive to your destination country, you will be contacted directly to arrange delivery of your consignment once they have cleared customs. Your goods will be unloaded into your home and unwrapped where applicable. Welcome to your new home!

Your personal move consultant is always on hand to assist and provide advice with all aspects of your relocation.
