Excellent service...the collection staff were very courteous, professional and efficient. They kept me updated on the expected time of arrival for collection of my possessions...good packaging for safe delivery of all items. I would thoroughly recommend McGimpseys to anyone and I would definitely use them again in future. Regarding the scoring on overall performance, I selected 6 for all categories as I felt that both the pick-up and delivery drivers were all helpful and polite, and I couldn't have expected anymore from them, but I would to make special mention of the consultant, Caroline Johnston, who managed the move. Caroline was so helpful throughout the move, always knowledgeable and quick to reply to all my questions (of which they were many!), she also kept me up to date regularly, often without out me sending an email first. Sorting out our payment wasn't straightforward as we were paying through my partners company, but she helped us get it sorted very easily. During a very stressful time it was very nice to know that all our belongings were in safe hands and I felt like I was constantly kept in the loop and knew what was happening. Fantastic service all round, couldn't be happier!

I would like to record the excellent service and attention we received from the crew members.The job proved larger than I had anticipated - but they dealt with the move efficiently and with good humour. During the delivery of our furniture my wife fell and received a head wound - while I was away. The crew immediately provided first aid and, when I returned, advised me to take her to minor injuries. It was helpful that Richard, one of the crew, had been a medic for 20 years! Ian and Richard were an excellent team and I feel deserve praise and thanks - and at least a bonus! I organised the move of a piano for some relatives, but was not present when it was collected or delivered. So I have filled in what I can from what the two families told me; both were very pleased with the teams who came. The only hitch was that the delivery in Ireland was a day late because the lorry broke down in Cork. Luckily this didn't matter too much. I personally was very impressed with the office staff. Shirley very efficiently organised the move, and although I was making the arrangements, and another relative was paying the bill, and neither of us lived at either of the houses involved, there were no mistakes about addresses, phone numbers etc. and I had quite thought there would be. I spoke to at least two other staff when Shirley was not in the office and they were equally on the ball, passed on messages etc. I wish all offices were as efficient!

The company made our move from Northern Ireland to Mareeba, Australia very smooth. They arranged for everything and even their partners here in Aus was commendable. Our goods sat at storage for a year and since all were packed to standard, they arrived as though they have been just packed yesterday! Our initial contact with them (the consultant who came to our house) was a very pleasant experience & their price was the most reasonable among all those that have given me quotes. The staff who came to pack the stuff for us were very organized, helpful & very professional. Our consultant (Ms. C. Mann) was so knowledgeable about their work.
